US Coast Guard searches for man on personal watercraft

SAN DIEGO (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard says it’s searching for a missing man in Mission Bay who was last seen on a personal watercraft.

The Coast Guard describes the man as bald, Hispanic, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and wearing a blue life jacket. He was last seen aboard a white Sea-Doo personal watercraft with a gray seat.

The Guard says that about 8:20 p.m., the family of the missing man reported him missing after he failed to return to Ski Beach where he and his family departed aboard personal watercraft.

A Coast Guard Air Station San Diego MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew and a Coast Guard Station San Diego Response Boat-Medium boat crew are searching with Mission Beach Life Guard staff.
