Watts shooting leaves 1 dead, 3 wounded
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles police say a shooting in the Watts area has killed a man and wounded three other people on the same day that a funeral procession was held for slain rapper Nipsey Hussle.
However, authorities say the attack occurred some three blocks from the procession route and it apparently had nothing to do with the peaceful event.
Police say a suspect in a gray Hyundai opened fire on a group of people shortly before 8:30 p.m. Thursday at 103rd Street and Main Street in Watts.
A woman and three men, ranging in age from about 30 to 50, were hit. One person died. There’s no immediate word on the conditions of the other victims.
Investigators are trying to determine other details and no arrests have been made.
