Woman’s body found wrapped in plastic in car
WHITTIER, Calif. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a Whittier man after finding the body of his longtime partner wrapped in plastic in the back seat of a car in his driveway.
Luis Rey Jimenez-Jimenez was arrested Sunday on suspicion of murder. He’s being held on $2 million bail. It’s unclear if has an attorney.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says deputies checking on the woman’s welfare found her body lying in the car Saturday night at the home in the Los Angeles suburb.
She had significant head injuries and investigators say she may have been dead for about a week.
Her name wasn’t immediately released but authorities say she had lived with Jimenez-Jimenez for well over a decade.
