Imperial Beach residents concerned about rising housing costs

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – People in one South Bay community are coming together to protest the increasing lack of affordable housing.

Seventy-percent of those living in Imperial Beach are renters. And they say the rent prices continue to go up.

Many Imperial Beach residents say the gentrification of their SoCal beach town is leading to a lack of affordable housing as developers look to fix up older properties and charge higher rents. Some residents are even being kicked out of their RV parks in order to make way for new condos.
