Initiative on getting daily P.E. back in all schools

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – An organization called Phit America is pushing to educate people on how daily P.E. and regular physical activity breaks during the school day actually have tremendous academic benefits for every student.

Jim Baugh, Founder, PHIT America said he has a series of three documentaries that are being distributed nationwide saying active kids do better in the classroom.

“Physical activity breaks and regular P.E. also help reduce health care costs, improves student behavior, and eventually help with military readiness as the U.S. Army has serious concerns right now about the ability of 18-year-old recruits to successfully make it through boot camp because their lives have been void of any physical exercise on a regular basis,” said Baugh.
