Turko Interviews SDG&E’s Top Brass About Wildfires

Monday, February 20, 2012 – SDG&E is asking the Public Utilities Commission for authority to charge customers ninety percent of their uninsured damages from the 2007 wildfires, and from all future fires. KUSI's Michael Turko broke that story over two weeks ago, and tonight he has an exclusive interview with a top SDG&E executive on that hotly contested issue.

SDG&E was accused of negligence after the 2007 wildfires. Two government agencies determined the power company's equipment caused the fires. SDG&E settled those charges and paid a small fine with no admission of negligence. Now they say all that's beside the point, and doesn't really matter.
