Jacumba residents speak out on convicted predator Alan James set to be released

JACUMBA (KUSI)- The proposed release of another sexually violent offender has one community and victims speaking out. Alan James, a convicted pedophile, could be released in less than a month.

He has been convicted of sex crimes against children but could be living down the street from an elementary school.

In this special report, KUSI’s Ginger Jeffries talks to some of the victims of his attacks, who say the community needs to be alarmed.

Public comments on the placement can be submitted via email to sdsafe@sdsheriff.org or by calling (858) 495-3619. The deadline is March 6, 2019.

Comments will be included in the formal response to the court at a hearing for the proposed placement on March 22, 2019.
