Jan Goldsmith on the “Roadmap to Recovery”

Voters in San Diego shot down Prop D, so now what? How is the city prepared to move forward and improve the city on a struggling budget. Council Member Carl DeMaio has proposed a “Roadmap to Recovery” where he outlines and proposed a financial recovery plan for the city. DeMaio claims his plan would save San Diego $1 billion over the next five years and overcome a projected $72 million budget shortfall in the coming fiscal year without major service reductions.

City Attorney Jan Goldsmith was on Good Morning San Diego to talk about his on-going assessment of Carl DeMaio's plan and his opinions on how to achieve pension savings.
