January is National Blood Donor Month

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Winter is one of the most difficult times of year to collect enough blood donations to meet health care demands.

To help, National Blood Donor Month has been observed each January since 1970. The goal is to ask people in the community to make a resolution to become regular blood donors and to start by making their first appointment this month.
