Jerry Cesak is Taking His Talents to Television

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Beloved San Diego radio legend Jerry Cesak is taking his talents to television.  Cesak retired last fall after 27 years as the host of the” Jeff and Jer Showgram” on San Diego radio station KyXy.  He is taking a break from retirement to host a brand new television show that will debut on KUSI-TV on June 13, 2016.  The weekly, one-hour variety show, “San Diego Tonight” will air on KUSI each Monday night for 14 weeks this summer.  Guests will include Joan Embry, Tim Conway, Richard Dreyfuss, Philip Rivers, Rita Coolidge and many more local and national celebrities.  It will feature live house band “Atomic Groove,” booth announcer Anita Rush and on-camera producer Tommy Sablan.  Listeners of “The Showgram” will recognize Sablan as “Little Tommy.”

The show will be taped before a live studio audience at the Lyceum Theatre (70 Horton Plaza, San Diego, CA 92101).  Two shows tape each day, the first at 6:45 p.m. followed by a second taping at 8:00 p.m.
