Kids4Community helps homeless students with homework and supplies

At Perkins Elementary, over 31% of the students are homeless, and many don’t have the necessary items to help start off a successful school year. Kids4Community is recruiting kid volunteers to help homeless kids with their homework and academics this school year.

Elizabeth Alvarez was live with 14 year-old Kennan, creator and lead volunteer of Kids4Community, to talk about the program and how audiences can help out.

Kids4Community is going to be working with Perkins Elementary school. The school provides education for mostly homeless kids and the Back2School event will help those kids. They are elementary and middle schoolers. Kids4Community will be bringing the community together to pack supplies for the 400 kids that go to school there.

Members of the community are encouraged to sign up. Register at the Kids4Community website, under upcoming events or go to: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0c44abae2aa1f94-september
