Fighting Eagles soar over wounded Warriors
As week 5 comes to a close the (2-2) San Pasqual fighting Eagles traveled north to take on the (0-4) Fallbrook Warriors, after a three and out by the Warriors the Eagles would get on the board first after a few big chunk plays with Westin Erdman would connect with a field goal 3-0. Fallbrook would get a huge punt to the Eagles deep in the own zone but a few plays later Westin Erdman would fake the run and throw a dime in between two defenders and connect with Cameron Young for a 50 yard touchdown to put San Pasqual up 10-0 in the first quarter.
Jump to the second quarter with Fallbrook trying to get on the board lining up for a field goal and the Eagles would come up big with the block. After changing possessions a couple times and some huge sacks by San Pasqual we’d go in to half time with the Eagles leading 10-0.
Fallbrook would get the ball to start the third quarter and would fumble the ball and San Pasqual would take over in warrior territory, Westin Erdman would call his own number and skedaddle in to the end zone from 18 yards out Eagles go up 17-0. The third quarter would be huge for San Pasqual as Erdman would throw a short pass to Brett Sayers who would turn on the jets and run 60 yards untouched for a touchdown. Then after another Fallbrook quarterback Christian Cruz would fumble and later leave the game, Eagles Erdman would again call his own number using a variation of a spin move, two stiff arms, and a hurdle to score this time from 19 yards out Eagles would lead 31-0. San Pasqual would score a final time from Saud Carrillo, the Eagles would win 38-0 shutting Fallbrook out for the third straight time with a dominant game on both sides of the balls.
San Pasqual will head back home next week next week to take on Castle Park who is (0-5) on the season and will celebrate homecoming. While the Fallbrook Warriors will travel to (1-3) Hoover cardinals. Be sure to tune in to the Prep Pigskin Report for those highlights and more only on KUSI.
