KUSI News at 11 on Friday Night Hiatus

Ross Becker

One of the fondest memories I have of my high school years is football on Friday night. We waited all week for the big varsity game. I even played for two years. I was an end and defensive back for the mighty JV Preble Hornets. (Yes, I have one of the shirts pictured)

Growing up in Wisconsin, football was kin to a religion. Of course, we loved our Packers but we also were passionate about our local high school football and San Diego is no different.

Many of you who read my Digital Notebook everyday are also loyal viewers of the KUSI News at 11. Thank you for that. It is one of the fastest growing newscasts in Southern California. So, I wanted to alert you that on Fridays during high school football season our 11 o'clock team is going on hiatus. We are stepping aside to make room for the famous Prep Pigskin Report with Paul Rudy and the KUSI Sports Team.

This multiple Emmy Award winning local sports program is filled with scores and highlights from all of the local high school football games. You will see interviews with the players, coaches and fans. It's your local sports show on Friday night.

So, just on Fridays, the KUSI News at 11 is taking a break to make room for PPR. We will be there Monday through Thursday and be back to 5 days a week when football season ends.
