KUSI’s Dan Plante breaks down US Border Patrol’s “Operation Streamline”

OTAY MESA (KUSI) – Far away from the protesters and the emotions, the United States Border Patrol is quietly trying to keep pace with the constant flow of undocumented immigrants. As of Monday, they’re working on something called “Operation Streamline.”

KUSI’ Dan Plante reports that there had not been a moment where there has not been a truck, or some sort of Border Patrol vehicle driving along the fence line. “There is quiet a lot of activity going on, I’m not so sure what’s going on, and they’re being tight lipped about it” he said.

Dan goes on to explain how a lot of people, “particularly people who do not like Donald Trump,” came up with the program. But, the program started in 2005. In one year under President Obama, 97,000 people were processed under “Operation Streamline.” That is more than any other President, but you never heard the same outcry about the problems then as you do now.
