Lakeside crash causes morning freeway closure

LAKESIDE (KUSI) – A motorcyclist and a bigrig truck driver collided early Tuesday, resulting in a crash that left a Lakeside freeway closed in both directions and sent the rider of the motorcycle to the hospital.

The crash occurred around 6:25 a.m. early Tuesday near Slaughter House Canyon on SR-67, according to CHP.

The rider was airlifted to the hospital from the scene, and their condition was not made immediately available. SR-67 was re-opened after a brief closure.
