Lakeside pot shop robbed, suspect in custody

LAKESIDE (CNS) – A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing about $45,000 worth of pot from a medical marijuana dispensary in Lakeside early Friday, authorities said.

The break-in at Aurora Green’s Dispensary at 8575 Los Coches Road was reported about 4 a.m., according to San Diego County sheriff’s Sgt. Tom Seiver.

Deputies found a man — later identified as Wendell Coleman — hiding in some nearby bushes and arrested him on suspicion of burglary, Seiver said in a statement.

Coleman was in possession of about four pounds of marijuana and baked marijuana goods worth an estimated $45,000, he said.
