Law enforcement officials enter the ring for charity in Battle of the Badges

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The Community Youth Athletic Center (CYAC) and the National Latino Peace Officers Association (NLPOA) announced plans to hold their 16th annual “Battle of the Badges.”

Police officers from the San Diego Police Department, Chula Vista Police Department, San Diego Sheriffs, San Diego DA’s Office, San Diego Life Guards, U.S. Border Patrol, Oceanside Fire, Probation Department, United States Navy, will go head-to-head in the ring during the 10 scheduled bouts.

President of the Board of Directors for CYAC. “We are very grateful for the support of boxers in helping the kids with their participation in these bouts. We are hoping for another huge crowd this year on June 15th and we’re expecting great boxing action as in the past.”

The event Saturday, June 15th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the USS Midway.
