Legislation reintroduced to CA Senate to extend bar service to 4 a.m.
SAN DIEGO (KUSI)- Legislation to extend “last call” in bars has been re-introduced here in California. Right now bars stop serving alcohol at 2 in the morning.
Senate bill 58 would extend that to 4 am. This target program would apply to cities in southern California including Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Palm Springs.
San Diego is not listed in the bill but some people are worried the spill over from neighboring communities could eventually have an impact in our county.
KUSI’s Ginger Jeffries has more.
