Leslie Lopez Weather Discussion – Thursday, September 25, 2014
There was barely a marine layer this morning along the coast and now we are under full sunshine. Today will be the last hot day this week, then a cool down begins for us tomorrow.
A low pressure will swing down here tomorrow and bring in some gusty winds for the mountains and deserts. The onshore winds will thicken up the marine layer and push it to the coastal foothills. The clouds may also thicken up just enough to provide us drizzle over the weekend.
What we can count on is a thicker marine layer, cooler temperatures, gusty winds and a NW wind swell that will cool off water temperatures and pick up the surf a little bit. We will go from 2-3 footers today to 3-4 footers tomorrow.
After the weekend, we will begin another warming trend for next work week. Enjoy the break!
