‘Let Them Breathe’ continues advocating for mask choice in California classrooms

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Local parent advocacy group, “Let Them Breathe” is challenging California’s mask mandate for kids when they return to school in the fall.

The CDC has changed guidelines for schools, stating that vaccinated teachers and schoolchildren need not wear masks, but unvaccinated people still need to don masks while indoors.

However, California is taking a more cautious approach and refusing to allow unvaccinated and vaccinated schoolchildren to ditch the masks, despite the CDC guidelines.

Sharon McKeeman, Founder of Let Them Breathe, joined KUSI’s Jason Austell on Good Morning San Diego to discuss the group’s continued advocacy for mask choice in California’s classrooms.
