Lincoln Club of San Diego County announces endorsements for March 3rd Primary

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The Lincoln Club of San Diego County has announced the pro-business PAC’s endorsements for California’s March 3rd presidential primary election. Endorsements include Scott Sherman for Mayor, Kristin Gaspar and Steve Vaus for County Supervisor, Democrat Michelle Ialeggio for Judge, and Independent Mike Diaz for Chula Vista City Council.

Top priorities include Gaspar, whose seat will decide the future of the County Board of Supervisors, and the San Diego Mayor’s race where the Lincoln Club has endorsed Councilmember Scott Sherman to succeed termed-out Mayor Kevin Faulconer. In other important San Diego City Council races, the club has selected Joe Leventhal to succeed Councilmember Mark Kersey in District 5 and Noli Zosa to succeed Councilmember Scott Sherman in District 7.

In an important North County race, Tracy Carmichael received the Lincoln Club’s endorsement as Carlsbad residents will be asked to vote in a winner-take-all special election for the City Council’s swing district.

Brian Pepin, President of The Lincoln Club of San Diego County, was in studio to talk about the club’s endorsements.
