Suspect named in Lincoln Park murder
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – San Diego police sought a named suspect in the stabbing death of a 20-year-old man at a Lincoln Park apartment complex on Sunday.
Julio Cesar Mendez, 21, is wanted in Friday's roughly 11:20 p.m. stabbing death near Castana and 47th streets, San Diego police said.
Mendez, about 5 feet 6 inches and 180 pounds, also goes by Julio Cesar Vargas, police said.
Police withheld the victim's name.
The stabbing occurred as the man, with two female friends, was dropping off a child at his or her father's apartment.
Police also are looking for a 21-year-old woman who fled before officers arrived.
