Little Red Dog Rescue Adopt-A-Pet: Meet Elizabeth!

Kelly Hammons from The Little Red Dog Rescue visited KUSI on Monday to introduce Elizabeth, a lab mix up for adoption.

Elizabeth is a happy, healthy 16 month old puppy. She’s sweet and submissive, playful and loving! She appears to be a black Labrador mix, maybe with a little American Staffordshire terrier. She has already been spayed, microchipped, and is fully vaccinated. She is truly ready to go to her forever home!

Elizabeth is good with kids, dogs, and cats and is partially house-trained. Her mom and 8 puppies were dumped at a high kill shelter. The Little Red Dog rescued them when they were just 2 weeks old, and they have been with a foster, Kelly, ever since.

To date, 5 of the puppies in the litter have been adopted, but Elizabeth, along with her sisters Susan and Mary, are still waiting for their forever home.

To adopt, please go to and fill out an application. The adoption fee is $375 and goes toward the vet bill for her spay, microchip, and vaccinations.
