Local Iraqi Christians ask government to release refugees

OTAY MESA (KUSI) – On Thursday, there was an unusual demonstration at the gate of the Federal Immigration Detention Center in Otay Mesa.

Protesters held a prayer vigil to call for the release of Christian refugees from Iraq.

The refugees are asking for asylum in the U.S.
