Local LGBT community holds vigil for those killed in Orlando

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — The attack in Orlando has affected the gay and lesbian community here in San Diego too.

A rally was held Monday night in Hillcrest at the LGBT Community Center.

June is "Gay Pride" month and many believe the attack in Orlando was an attack on every LGBT person.

KUSI’s Ashlie Rodriguez was joined by Rebekah Hook-Held, Director of Public Affairs for the LGBT Community Center.

San Diego’s gay and lesbian community will hold a rally Monday at 6:30 p.m., followed by a candlelit vigil. The march will begin at The Center, located at 3909 Centre St., ending at Rich’s nightclub. The Center said the public is welcome to attend.
