Local man unhurt after jumping from balcony of burning home

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A man suffered minor injuries Monday night when he was forced to jump from the second story balcony of his home when it caught fire.

The fire broke out in the El Cerritos area around 10 p.m. when the man's clothes caught fire in his dryer.

Neighbors heard his fire alarm go off and ran over to his home to assist him with evacuating. The man suffered only minor injuries, including scratches to his legs and feet from a rose bush.
