Local Pride! AND Get Real!

Monday, January 23, 2012 – The city says this new half block long median is costing all of us two hundred thousand bucks. A hundred and forty to plan it, and sixty to actually build it. Critics say it's a big fat waste of money, but neighborhood organizers say it's money well spent. And designed to improve the neighborhood and build local pride.

Now a story about neighborhood activists of a different sort. I'm talking about some young school kids that went out of their way to get some action from north county school officials. Those officials ignored their pleas to fix their playground. So instead of a letter to Santa, they wrote to me. And I got school officials to get real!
