SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Police were on the lookout Wednesday for the man who pulled a gun on security guards at a Logan Heights grocery store as they tried to bust him for shoplifting, a police officer said.
Loss prevention officers at the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market at 2121 Imperial Avenue spotted the suspect as he took items from the store at about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, San Diego police Officer Dan Lasher said.
The security officers confronted the suspect outside the store, but he drew a handgun and ran off, Lasher said.
Police described the suspect as Hispanic, about 25 years old, 5 feet 11 and thin. He was wearing a blue shirt and khaki shorts.
