Love of reading at Lindo Park Elementary

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Wednesday, Lindo Park School in Lakeside held a school wide love of reading celebration. Thirty eight guest readers, including military members, sheriff’s officers and former teachers went into class rooms to read their favorite book to students.

This is just one of the events that Lindo Park is hosting to promote the positivity of reading. They also hosted a book fair Wednesday afternoon and will continue to host events all week long. Many schools around the country are doing similar events to “Read Across America” in conjunction with Dr. Seuss’ birthday this Saturday.
