Man arrested after witnesses say he assaulted women on San Diego college campuses
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Students are San Diego State and City College campuses are on alert.
The same man has been arrested at both schools in just three days for attacking women.
The most recent attack was early Tuesday morning. Police said Robbie Shumate is seeking out women and groping them.
And it seems getting arrested isn’t stopped him.
Police said the 28-year-old, non-student was near the campus when he made unwanted physical contact with a female student.
Several other SDSU female students also reported he tried to grope them too.
He was arrested and then released.
Shumate is said to have been under the influence of drugs. Police also said that after the North County resident was released from jail Sunday. He was seen back on campus later.
That punishment doesn’t appear to have made an impact and it’s not known if his latest arrest at San Diego City College will either.
We do know, students should be on the lookout.
Shumate is about 6-ft tall, with brown hair and blue eyes.
