Man dies in fiery car crash

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – An investigation was under way Monday into a fiery crash in which a man was killed on a state Route 94 offramp in San Diego.

The man was the sole occupant of a Kia Rio that crashed into a tree on the Euclid Avenue offramp of westbound state Route 94 just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Rio became fully engulfed in flames, the CHP reported.

No other details were immediately released.
