Man flees after shooting his father on Los Coyotes Indian Reservation

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Authorities asked the public Monday to be on the lookout for a man suspected of shooting his father on Los Coyotes Indian Reservation over the weekend.

Phillip Campbell, 35, allegedly opened fire on the older man about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, then ran off into into hilly terrain in the area of Hot Springs Mountain.

The victim was admitted to a hospital, but his condition and prognosis were not released by sheriff’s officials. Investigators have disclosed no suspected motive for the shooting.

Campbell, who was wearing blue jeans and a white shirt when he fled, is 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 250 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his arms and shoulders. Officials advised anyone spotting the suspect to avoid approaching him and to call law enforcement immediately.
