Man found shot dead in Balboa Park

BALBOA PARK (KUSI) – San Diego police found a man, 44, dead with a gunshot wound in Balboa Park.   

They found the man unresponsive next to the Morley Field Veledrome area baseball fields at approximately 7:10 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Homicide detectives were called to investigate. There was no immediate word from police on where or when the shooting occurred, or what the man's name was.
