Man holed up in Clairemont Mesa home with two young daughters arrested

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — A nearly five-hour SWAT standoff between police and a man holed up in a Clairemont Mesa home with two young girls ended peacefully, according to police.

San Diego police responded to a call from a neighbor about a disturbance at a home on Lakehurst Ave. around 10:45 p.m. Monday and found Babak Afker holed up with a knife and his two daughters, age two and seven.

Afker was wanted for a misdemeanor for threatening his girlfriend with a knife, according to police.
