Man pleads not guilty to arson charges
EL CAJON (CNS) – A La Mesa man who allegedly set a fire at his home that displaced seven other residents and caused about $260,000 in damage pleaded not guilty Wednesday to arson charges.
Bradley Bach, 58, was ordered held on $125,000 bail.
Bach was booked into jail Saturday in connection with the Friday night fire on Rolando Knolls Drive near 67th Street. No one was hurt in the blaze, which was contained to the garage of the single-story structure.
The American Red Cross was called in to assist the residents, who were evacuated safely.
Bach faces 10 years in prison if convicted, according to Deputy District Attorney Dana Darnell. A readiness conference was set for Nov. 5, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Nov. 12.
