Man pleads ‘not guilty’ to charges of robbery against elderly man
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A man accused of mugged a 74-year-old resident after contacting him via an online personal ad pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a robbery charge.
Lucas Churchill Holmes, 20, got in touch with the victim through a Craigslist dating ad he posted. Holmes went to the victim’s house in the 4600 block of El Cerrito on April 8.
Holmes used a stun gun to subdue the older man before binding him and robbing him.
Records say Holmes stole credit and debit cards and was able to get the PIN number before fleeing the scene.
Homes faces up to six years in prison when he faces Superior Court Judge Michael Groch on May 28.
