Man rescued at sea after suffering apparent seizure aboard fishing boat
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – U.S. Coast Guard and Navy crews Monday came to the rescue of a 37-year-old man who suffered an apparent seizure aboard a fishing boat about 25 miles off the coast of San Diego.
The crew of the 47-foot charter vessel Joanna requested aid for the man shortly after 9 a.m., according to USCG public affairs.
The Coast Guard launched a 45-foot response boat from its San Diego Harbor station, while the USS Anchorage sent a doctor and a corpsman to provide medical assistance.
The personnel brought the stricken fisherman back to San Diego for emergency care, arriving in the late morning, officials said.
