Man rescued off Carnival cruise ship after experience gastrointestinal bleeding
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – San Diego Coast Guard workers rescued a man from a Carnival cruise ship off the coast of Point Loma Wednesday afternoon.
Around 9 a.m., Coast Guard officials received a report of 67-year-old man who was experiencing symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding.
The man was medically evacuated at 10 a.m. by an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter.
The man was transferred to UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest at around 11 a.m.
He was stabilized, Coast Guard officials said.
