Man shot in Lakeside, search continues for gunman

LAKESIDE (CNS) – A man was shot in Lakeside Wednesday and deputies were combing the area for a blond-haired, tattooed gunman, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

The shooting at an apartment complex in the 12000 block of Mapleview Street was reported about 6:30 a.m., said San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Andrea Arreola.

It was reported that the man was shot in the head.

Paramedics transported one person from the scene to Sharp Memorial Hospital, a Heartland fire dispatcher said.

The gunman was described as a white man, about 5 feet 10, with short blond hair, blue eyes and tattoos on both arms. He was last seen wearing black Dickies shorts and a black T-shirt with writing on it, Arreola said.
