Man shot in stomach while walking home

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A man was shot in the stomach as he walked home Saturday.

The 22-year-old man was leaving a San Diego 7-Eleven convenience store, headed home, when he was shot in the stomach.

The shooting occurred in the 10400 block of Hebrides Circle at about 10:30 p.m.

The victim heard two men say something to him but didn’t know what it was, Officer Robert Heimes said. “The victim turned around and heard at least two gunshots. The victim was shot in the stomach one time.”

The victim was taken to a hospital, the officer said. He was not cooperative and would not describe the suspects.
