Man shot outside National City taco shop

NATIONAL CITY (CNS) – A shooting in National City left a man wounded, authorities said Friday.

The shooting on Highland Avenue near 19th Street was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m. Thursday, a National City police dispatcher said.

Witnesses told police an argument over a woman in a taco shop parking lot prompted the assailant to shoot the victim.

A description of the gunman was not immediately available.
