Man stabbed in head during Teralta East neighborhood fight

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A 31-year-old man was stabbed in his head during a fight with several other men Monday in the Teralta East neighborhood, police said.

The men began fighting shortly before 3:30 a.m. on University Avenue near 47th Street, according to a San Diego Police Department statement.

At some point during the altercation, a 46-year-old suspect and two others singled out and attacked the victim, the statement said. The suspect then stabbed the victim with a sharp object, police said.

The wounded man was taken to a hospital, along with two others who suffered minor injuries, according to police and the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

The assailant was arrested and police said he would be charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
