Man stabbed in Pacific Beach

PACIFIC BEACH (CNS) – A 25-year-old man was slashed by a knife-wielding transient early Sunday following a night of drinking in Pacific Beach, and was later hospitalized after arriving at a residence in the Kensington neighborhood.

The transient confronted the victim as he left a bar at about 1:15 a.m. and the two got into an argument, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said. At some point during the altercation, the transient drew a knife and cut the victim on his right thigh, he said.

The victim then took a cab to 4658 Kensington Drive, and someone there called police, Heims said.

The bloodied man was then taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

No description of the assailant was provided.
