Man stabbed to death Downtown
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Homicide detectives Friday investigated the fatal
stabbing of a 52-year-old man in downtown San Diego.
Officers were called to the 600 block of Market Street shortly before 5
p.m. Thursday. Once there, they found the victim in need of medical attention,
San Diego police homicide Lt. Mike Hastings said in a statement.
Paramedics took the man to a local hospital, where he died a few hours
later, according to Hastings.
“It has not been determined what precipitated the assault,” he said.
“Detectives and forensic specialists are … processing the scene for evidence
and trying to local witnesses.”
