Man suffers non life-threatening knife wound in Downtown stabbing

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A 24-year-old man suffered what were believed to be non life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed in the stomach early Friday morning outside a downtown bar.

The unidentified victim was leaving Maloney's Tavern on Fifth Avenue near F Street when he got into an argument with two other men who were also leaving the bar. As the altercation escalated, one of the other men produced a knife and stabbed the victim.

The man was treated at a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police were successfully able to locate and arrest one of the two suspects, but the second man was able to get away.
