Marathon Money Grab, It Ain’t Right!

Tuesday, February 26, 2013 – A north county marathon runner called KUSI's Michael Turko when a race he planned to run never happened. Turko says the company organizing the marathon is out of business and claims it is broke. Even though IO Events claimed they were a non-profit organization, Turko couldn't find any IRS filings indicating that's really true. A Facebook page has been set up for IO victims and they're being urged to contact the Arizona Attorney General's Office of Consumer Protection.
