Marine layer to keep temperatures cool over weekend

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — The marine layer will take a bit longer to burn off Friday, but by midday plenty of sun should shine through.

The marine layer is more extensive than it has been the past week and temperatures are cooler. A ridge of high pressure that was holding onshore flow back has diminished.

Daytime highs will be mild as dew points will be much lower than they have been the past week and overall conditions will be much more comfortable. The mountains are no longer seeing a chance of rain and thunderstorms.

Friday’s high temperatures are expected to be 74 degrees along the coast, 88 degrees inland, 80 degrees in the mountains and 106 degrees for the deserts.
