Masked gunmen rob RB Denny’s

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Three masked men armed with handguns robbed an all- night diner in Rancho Bernardo early Friday, assaulting two employees in the process, police said.

The men held up the Denny's restaurant at 16686 Bernardo Center Drive just before 3:30 a.m., according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

During the robbery, one employee was pulled by the hair and another was punched in the face, Stafford said, noting that both were then locked in an office.

The assailants took cash from a register before fleeing on foot, he said.

They were described as black males in their 20s, last seen wearing dark jackets, blue jeans and ski masks.
