Masked men rob Burger King in Midway District

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Two masked gunmen held up a Midway District Burger King restaurant at closing time early Monday morning, getting away with an undetermined amount of money, a police officer said.

The robbery occurred at 2:53 a.m. at the Burger King at 3747 Rosecrans Street, said San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

The two gunmen wearing ski masks approached two employees who were closing the restaurant, Delimitros said.

“They displayed their weapons and made a demand for cash,” he said. “They were last seen getting into a dark colored Pontiac two-door that was parked in the CMH parking lot on Pacific Highway.” The getaway car left heading northbound on Pacific Highway, Delimitros said.

Police did not disclose the amount of cash taken and the investigation continued, he said.
