Mayor Kevin Faulconer on Measure C’s plan to fund expansion of Convention Center

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Proposed Measure C says if passed on Super Tuesday will increase the lodging tax, expand the convention center, and fund streets and homelessness programs.

The measure would allow the city to increase the tax levied on overnight lodging guests with a tiered range from 1.25% to 3.25%.

In order to pass, Measure C needs to get two-thirds of the vote in the City of San Diego.

Mayor Kevin Faulconer joined Good Morning San Diego to discuss the measure and why he believes it will help San Diego.
